Turning $1k into $48k 💸
I hope everyone had a relaxing Christmas and Santa left a lot of presents!
Today I want to talk about how a client of mine spent a little over $1k and landed $48k in projects last month. That’s a 4,700% return on ad spend.
I wanted to go over how we got that kind of return and how you can implement this in your marketing/advertising.
A Little Background
Here’s a little background before jumping into what helped us get that kind of ROI.
This particular client is in the landscaping niche and we currently manage their Ad Campaigns. With this client, we focus heavily on Google Search Ads and Google Local Service Ads.
With Google Local Service Ads they record the calls so you can listen back to them and determine if they were a bad lead or not. If it is a bad lead you can dispute it with Google and ask for your ad spend money back.
Because we can listen to the calls we were able to hear valuable feedback from the customers that helped us adjust our strategy.
Here’s how we used that feedback to make adjustments.
Adjustment #1: Wrong Service
During the calls, we found that potential customers would type in “Landscaping” into Google when they just wanted their grass cut.
This client was looking to get more landscaping projects and fewer lawn-cutting projects.
This feedback allowed us to tweak the ads so that we could focus more on the projects the client wanted to get.
Adjustment #2: Location
This client has a large service area but during the calls, we noticed that the types of projects that the client wanted to land came from a few higher-end areas.
Makes sense since it’s a higher-end service.
So we took this feedback and adjusted the ads to focus more on those areas.
In doing so we were able to land the ideal clients we were looking for.
By making these adjustments we were able to help the client land over $48k in projects in 1 month.
Now you most likely don’t have a landscaping business to make these types of adjustments, but there are some important takeaways.
The market always has feedback on your product or service. That feedback can be found in Facebook Ad comments, Google reviews, cold phone calls, etc
It’s up to you to take that feedback, find trends, and make adjustments in your marketing.
1. Merry Christmas!
2. Find Your Customer Feedback
3. Listen to that Feedback
4. Find trends in that Feedback
5. Make adjustments based on Feedback
